Cartoon Drama Begins Again
BBC NEWS: “Four men have been arrested in Denmark for a suspected plot to attack a newspaper that published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, police say. The security and intelligence service (Pet) said three of the four were residents of Sweden who had entered Denmark on Tuesday night. A pistol fitted with a silencer and live ammunition were found when they were searched, Danish media...

What has God done for you that you couldn't have...
I hear it from people occasionally. Stating how prayer has worked for them. For example, a man at work who claims to be a Christian (but who never goes to church and is always putting things down to fate, like when he saw someone he knew at the shops…it wasn’t coincidence, it was fate, apparently).  Anyway, I’ve asked him before if prayer has worked for him and he said it did. I...

This is a blog from http://friendlyatheist.com/2010/12/27/when-atheists-act-like-jesus/. Very interesting…   “It’s always interesting to hear Christians giving us credit where it’s due… Like this blogger, Mason, who speaks in Christianese but is trying to grapple with the fact that atheists can be kind and generous despite what the church might have him believe…   ‘It’s...

Congratulations, Elton
I just heard a guy on the news say “A child should have a mother in it’s life, this is completely wrong.” Referring to Elton John and his new surrogate child, of course.  So, going by that comment, that means that if a mother dies during child-birth and the father is left to bring it up, he should have it taken away from him, right? If that’s the case, then every single...

Pope's Christmas Message to the UK
“Let us give thanks to God for his goodness to us, and let us joyfully proclaim to those around us the good news that God offers us freedom from whatever weighs us down; he gives us hope, he brings us life.” Apart from the religious people who get cancer and, despite praying until their wrists are sore, don’t get any sort of salvation from pain and death. It seems ever-so easy...

PRINCETON, NJ — Four in 10 Americans, slightly fewer today than in years past, believe God created humans in their present form about 10,000 years ago. Thirty-eight percent believe God guided a process by which humans developed over millions of years from less advanced life forms, while 16%, up slightly from years past, believe humans developed over millions of years, without God’s...

Israelis Pray For Rain
It’ll never work…   “The Middle East is in the grip of an almost Biblical drought which has brought the region’s three major religions together to pray for rain.   Israel’s main water source, the Sea of Galilee, is in serious trouble. November saw it receive the least amount of water since records began in 1927.  Agriculture is threatened by both the lack of water...

I went to church today...
No, I haven’t changed my ways!  A task at work involved going to the on-site church and moving some pews about. For such a sacred building, churches always seem to be cold. But I guess they prefer it to be like that than to be scorching hot. What freaks me out is how morbid they are. I mean, they’ve got pictures and sculptures of a man, nails hammered into his palms, hanging from a...

Ouch.
I fell down some wooden stairs today. I should have been going down backwards, but I only realised when I was halfway and I slipped, smacking my elbows on at least three steps.  They’re going to sting tomorrow.  In more body news, my tattoo scabs are finally falling off! Hurrah!

My tattoo is healing. It itches. I just want this scab to go away now so I can show it off at the weekend. Gar. I have to wear layers as it’s cold at work but it irritates it. HURRY UP AND HEAL!
