Somebody reblogged the ragecomic I posted and said “Could everyone stop putting down people’s religion? It’s really fucking annoying like holy shit some of us aren’t extremists and try and tell you why your belief is stupid!!”

This pisses me off. The whole point in that comic is to show that human beings, over time, have always managed to believe in something so illogical, so nonsensical, so unfounded, yet something that is a geniune fact-based theory about life is seen by the same people as being illogical.

I’m fed up with it. I’m sorry you’re so offended, but I’m fed up with being told that I can’t say anything about your stupid little fairytales, yet homosexuals, women and children are constantly being denied the rights to do what they want by the very religions you protect with your feelings.

I am an atheist. I don’t believe there is a God. I don’t believe Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, Hinduism, Scientology and whatever else is true. I believe in human kind. I believe every single person on this earth has the right to say, do or think what they want, as long as it doesn’t harm another human being. I believe in love. I believe in freedom. I believe in questioning the illogical. I’m not perfect, nobody is. I don’t hate religion, but I hate what it can make people do.

Please. Don’t tell me a comic/statement/joke/fact offends you. Think about the people in this world who are really being persecuted by these nonsensical beliefs.
